Teachers can use the TFI test to accurately evaluate their students’ proficiency in French.

As an educator, you play a transformational role in the lives of young people the world over. As the world becomes one global village, students need to prove that they are international citizens, able to work in any location. And they often need to demonstrate multilingual capabilities. This is where the TFI test steps in, helping them certify their skill in French. TFI (Test de Français International) is a French language proficiency test for non-native speakers of French. It measures and certifies the French skills of people working in a professional context, from beginner to advanced levels.

Spoken by over 170 million people everyday, French is widely used in international and business communication. Students wanting to work in various countries, and aiming to demonstrate a skill in multiple languages, can use the reliable and valid  TFI certification to achieve their objectives.

As a teacher training your students to work in an international environment, you can insist on the TFI test as a graduation requirement, and have students certify their level of French. You can influence your institution to include the TFI test within your curriculum:

  • To place students in appropriate language courses by using TFI scores to evaluate proficiency,
  • To ensure that your students step out into the working world equipped to meet the demand of international companies for international skills,
  • To increase the international recognition and credibility of your institution, making a stronger case for students to join your university.

Become an accredited test administrator

Your institution can choose to become an ETS Middle East accredited centre and include the various tests that we offer as an integral part of your curriculum. Being our partner, you will also get access to ETS Middle East expertise and a network of educators, academic institutions and policy makers all over the Middle East.

You can request an accreditation for your establishment by contacting us. If you meet ETS conditions of eligibility, an obligatory half-day training session will be organised on your site. An optional full-day session includes a full and official TFI test session in the afternoon, which enables participants to have a real life experience of the tests. Following the training session, your centre will receive a certificate enabling you to organise test sessions throughout the year on your preferred days.

Additionally, ETS Middle East now offers the accreditation service to all teachers who want to be independent consultants rather than be trained as part of a particular institution. You can train with ETS Middle East and then provide a direct testing service for your customers at any ETS Middle East authorised test centre.

Being an accredited teacher can add value to your CV and facilitate your access to increasingly high-profile job positions. ETS Middle East, complementary to your training, also provides you with various documents and manuals that you can use.
